Lenovo has finally announced the Zuk Edge smartphone after numerous leaks in the past few weeks. The new flagship in Zuk series features a 5.5-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution, Snapdragon 821 processor and Adreno 530 GPU.
The 5.5 inch display with a 2.5D curved glass on top has 86.4% screen-to-body ratio, 1500:1 contrast ratio and 85% NTSC color coverage. There are two variants of the device – one with 4GB RAM and the other with 6GB RAM. Both the models are equipped with a super fast 64GB of UFS 2.0 internal storage which unfortunately is all you get since there is no slot for expansion. Zuk Edge comes with a 13 MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus, f/2.2 aperture and 1.34μm pixel size while we have an 8 MP front snapper with f/2.2 aperture. Interestingly, there is also a heart rate sensor placed below the rear camera and LED flash.Just like other flagships, Zuk Edge also features a fingerprint sensor which Lenovo claims to be capable of unlocking the device in 0.09 seconds. The phone packs a 3,100mAh battery which is pretty decent and supports Quick Charge 3.0 too. The device also features Dirac HD Sound providing Hi-Fi audio to please the audiophiles and has the 3.5mm jack too. On the connectivity side, there’s 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and USB Type-C. The 4GB variant is priced at $330 while the 6GB variant will go for $360 with Ceramic White and Titanium Black for the color choices.
